I love Siena, Tuscany with all its beautiful arts, history, architecture, wine & food.
Last week I visited the Wine & Siena show and happened to taste lots of excellent wines from all Italian wine regions, plus some French Champagne and lovely Italian artisanal beers in this town that I define the wine Capital of Italy.
As a Professional Sommelier for me it was a great chance to taste the 2013 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino not yet released, and a wide variety of Chianti Classico & Riserva, Nobile di Montepulciano & Riserva, Cortona Syrah, IGT Supertuscans, Bolgheri, Amarone, Barolo, Barbaresco, Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, Lagrein, Riesling etc.
These wine events are very useful for me to select more varieties of wines for my private wine classes & tastings in villas, and to identify the best wines for wedding receptions I coordinate – to pair them to the menu as official wedding Sommelier. This comes handy also for my private wine & food tours in Tuscany and Umbria, as I always hunt for scenic and boutique-style cellars, extraordinary wines, delicious organic food to give clients a memorable tasting adventure with me in Italy.
If you plan to visit Italy and want to live a unique experience in Tuscany & Umbria, book one of my bespoke wine & food tours with Professional Sommelier, or arrange a private wine tasting and a special dinner with Sommelier at the villa you are staying at. Don’t wait any longer! I’d love to hear your ideas and make your vacation in Tuscany memorable! Email me at tuscanywinefoodadventures@gmail.com
