The wine consists of at least 95% Sagrantino grape which sleeps for a very long time in wood barrels. And makes it so unique and special. Sagrantino (from “sacred”) was born as sweet wine used predominantly for church service and is now the dry icon wine that best reflects Umbria. And grows only in the area of Montefalco.
